Semarang – The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), organized a workshop on the Development of Academic and Professional Practice Guidelines for Nursing on July 26–27, 2024, at The Wujil Conventions and Resort, Ungaran.
The workshop was held in preparation for implementing the 2024 revised curriculum, aiming to provide the best practice experiences. A pre-workshop session had been conducted earlier to draft the guidelines.
The event brought together stakeholders from hospitals and community health centers across Central Java, along with student and alumni representatives. The workshop was officially opened by the Head of the Department, Dr. Anggorowati.
Dr. Yoyo Suroyo, a renowned expert in health education from Universitas Gadjah Mada, served as the keynote speaker. He delivered comprehensive insights into the development of the guidelines, which will serve as a reference for nursing students undertaking academic and professional practice.
Additionally, Agus Santoso, Head of the Bachelor and Professional Nursing Programs, and Dr. Zubaidah presented the draft guidelines for their respective programs, inviting feedback from the participants.
Over two days, participants actively engaged in discussions and collaborative efforts to finalize the practice guidelines. The workshop combined theoretical sessions with presentations of draft guidelines from each practice station, ensuring the resulting document would be practical and relevant.
The event also served as a platform for healthcare professionals to share experiences and strengthen collaborative networks among healthcare institutions. [DWP, AN]
