Semarang – The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held the oath-taking ceremony for graduates of the 48th cohort of the Nursing Professional Program on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
The event took place in the Multipurpose Hall of Building A at the Faculty of Medicine, attended by students, faculty members, invited guests, and proud families who witnessed this significant and sacred milestone.
A total of 86 nursing graduates participated in the oath-taking ceremony, symbolizing the formal commencement of their careers as professional nurses. The event also coincided with the oath-taking ceremonies for newly qualified doctors and dentists from the Faculty of Medicine, marking a pivotal moment in their healthcare careers.
Of the 86 graduates, 58 earned the distinction of Cum Laude, with seven achieving an extraordinary perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0. These outstanding accomplishments brought immense pride to the graduates, their families, and Universitas Diponegoro, underscoring their dedication to excellence and competence in the field of nursing.
Dr. Zubaidah, the Head of the Nursing Professional Program, expressed her pride in the graduates. “We are immensely proud of these exceptional achievements. We hope they will uphold Undip’s reputation and contribute professionally to society,” she said, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct and responsibility in nursing practice.
Dr. Anggorowati, the Head of the Department of Nursing, delivered an inspiring message to the graduates. “This oath-taking marks the beginning of a significant responsibility in the real world. We are confident they will provide the best healthcare services while upholding the nursing code of ethics,” she stated, urging the graduates to use their education as a foundation for continuous learning and adaptation in the ever-evolving field of nursing.
